Latest Investigation Findings
The following information was provided by UPS Security and Corporate Investigations regarding the current status of the missing shipment.
UPS confirmed that the shipment successfully entered the automated sorting system at Louisville Worldport. The package was last confirmed intact before disappearing during the outbound sorting process.
Internal records confirm the shipment arrived on May 30, 2026 and was unloaded at 15:50 UTC.
The package entered the outbound load area at 16:03 UTC, which UPS confirmed is the normal processing flow.
UPS possesses an internal image showing the parcel intact with the shipping label still attached.
After entering the outbound load area, there are no further internal scans showing the shipment being loaded onto the correct outbound transport.
UPS confirmed this portion of Worldport is fully automated before diversion. Employees do not handle packages in this area, making theft at this stage unlikely.
UPS believes one possible explanation is that the package may have been diverted together with another shipment travelling too closely on the conveyor system.
Security reviewed surveillance footage covering the outbound load area. No suspicious activity or trace of the shipment was identified.
UPS investigators personally searched the Louisville Overgoods facility. No trace of the shipment was found.
Corporate Overgoods searched inventory across the entire United States. No results.
Security teams searched both the last scan location and surrounding outbound loading areas. No results.
UPS Security in California confirmed the shipment has not been located at its intended destination.
Because Florida containers are loaded nearby, UPS Security also investigated the possibility of an accidental diversion. No results.
Despite CCTV reviews, multiple warehouse searches, nationwide overgoods searches, destination verification and several internal security investigations, the shipment has still not been located. UPS has confirmed that the package disappeared after entering the automated sorting process at Louisville Worldport.
